Torla

The view of the mountains in front of our hotel

Heading in to the village

Los aves!
Today we left Ainsa in the morning and drove for one hour to the town of Torla.  I saw beautiful mountains everywhere!  When we got to our hotel we went in and put our bathing suits on.  After lunch (everything was delicious except for the pizza...it had too much cheese!), we went for a swim.  The pool was very cold.  Brrrrrrr!  Then we walked along a jungle pathway to get to the village.  We went to some stores.  When we were walking on the street we saw a lady who owned birds.  She let us put them on our shoulders and pet them and stuff like that.  The bird gave me little besitos!  Then we went out for dinner.  On the way home I threw rocks off the edge of the path with my mom.  Then I read some Harry Potter and went to sleep.  Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!

Ainsa

The medieval village called Ainsa

With Mia and Mom in Ainsa

Looking through the telescope at the top of the old ramparts
When we woke up this morning we went swimming.  Then we had breakfast and drove for two hours to Ainsa.   On the way there we had to drive on a skinny mountain road with one lane and a huge truck was coming the other way and we had to squeeze by it.  My dad said he was out of his comfort zone.  In Ainsa we stayed at a hostel.  At the hostel there was a basement and in the basement me and my sister built a fort out of pillows.  Then we went in to town and watched a magic show.  It was awesome!  After that we went to the candy shop and got some candy.  Hmmmmm!  Then we went back to our hostel and ate pizza.  Then we went to bed.

Today we went biking

Taking a break on the long bike ride

Mia and I were hoping there would be a place to get a drink in this village!

The freezing lake

Playing in the pool
Today we went biking in the Pyrenees.  First we went to a bike shop and rented bikes. I got a bike that said GIANT on it.  Then we biked across this little bridge.  After the bridge there was a big hill and then there was an 800 meter long flat part. After there was a village that we wanted to stop and get a cold drink in.  The village has at least 7 people living in it, and no stores, so it wasn’t really helpful.  Then there was a place to rest with logs to sit on.  After a rest we went on a dirt path that had a 400 meter hill.  Then there was a 200 meter flat part.  Then there was a FFffreezzziingg  cccolldd lllakkkkeee!  Mia and I dunked our heads in it!  Then there was everything I told you but backwards. Buenes noches!  Just kiding!  After the bike ride we went home and went for a swim.  Then we had dinner.  Then we really went to bed. Buenes noches!  Not kidding!

Camping La Presella

Playing Uno at the pool in Cadaques

The view from the top
Ahhhhhhhhh.   When we woke up this morning we went to the pool and swam and I played Uno with my friends.  Then we went for a five hour car drive to our cabin.   We are staying in a bungalow in the Pyrenees.  The village is called Esterri d’Aneu.  On the way the road was really windy and twisty.  It made me really car sick!  Finally we got to the cabin and we went for a swim. Then we played tag with some Spanish kids who were camping there too.  Then we went to sleep.  Mia slept on the bottom bunk and I slept on the bench in the kitchen.  Oh and we also had dinner after we swam. Adios amigos!

Another day in Cadaques

Kayaking in the Mediterranean

Mia and I at Cap de Crues

Hmmmm....smoothies!
This morning we went to the pool and played at the little playground at the hotel.  I swam laps and did some of my gymnastic exercises.  When we left the pool we decided to go kayaking to a secret island.  At the secret island there were other people, so it wasn’t very secret.  Mia and I grabbed big handfuls of sand underwater to look for shells and we found a lot!  When it was time to leave the not-so-secret beach we kayaked all the way back.  The water was so blue and clear!  Then we went back down to the village and got some crepes. Hmmmmmm.  Then we wandered around and went to a café called Brown Sugar.  We got the best smoothies in the world!  We were hoping to see some soccer players again, but there weren’t any, so we went back to the hotel and got ready to go to Cap de Crues, the most eastern part of Spain.  At Cap de Crues there is a bee-u-ti-ful view!  After hiking we went to have dinner at the beach shack.  When Mia and I went home we found some kids playing soccer at the hotel and we joined them.  They spoke some English.  I went to bed thinking about crepes again.  Hmmmmmm!

Hotel Calina

You could see the smoke from the fire from our car where we were stuck in a major traffic jam.

The entrance to our hotel

Beautiful Cadaques at night
Playing soccer with the local kids and some other world travelers
Today we left our hotel, Casa Migdia and went to the Hotel Calina in Cadaques.  The drive there should have taken 1 hour but it took 4 hours because of the big fire close to the border of France. When we got to our hotel we went to the town. At the town we went to a café and got patates bravas.  Then we played soccer with some kids we met on the street. When we were finished we got crepes. Hmmmm. After we finished our delicious crepes...hmmmm...we went to a bad restaurant that had only one good thing.  It was gulas.  Gulas are these puny fish that you would think were noodles.  Then we went home and I thought about the crepes . Hmmmmmmmm!  Adios!

Let's go to the beach!

                                                        Crepes con limon y azucar!

The sky is like that because of all the smoke in the air!

Mia and I sorting olives in the churchyard in Asturies
This morning we went to the beach.  At the beach there were two parts - the big wave part and the stream part.  At the beach it was very, very, very windy!  So windy that we had to leave and go to the other beach!!!!  On the way to the beach the sky started to turn black and the sun started to turn red.  We had no idea what was happening so my mum looked on her iphone and it turned out that there had been a humongous forest fire close to the border of France [and right where we were going]!!!! When we got to the beach it was still very windy so we stopped at a restaurant to eat.  I got a crepe...mmmmm!  When the wind stopped blowing we went to some of the ruins and took a swim then we went home and went to sleep.  ZZZZzzzz.

Girona

                                                                  Kissing the lion's butt

My dad thought he could swim in the ancient Arab Baths!
Eating dinner at 9 o'clock with the French kids

Today we went to Girona.  We went to a different Las Ramblas where people don't perform. We went to a store called Minerales and my dad bought us each a crystal.  We also went to a store that I liked.  It's one of those stores that have puppets, windups and circusy stuff.  But way better!  Then we went to the big Arab Baths and the cathedral.  Then we went to a place were if you kiss the lion's bum you get another life. After that we went home.  When it was dinner time we ate with the French kids and Phoenix. After dinner we played Foosball with Victor and Pablo [two of the oldest French kids] then we played Crokinole with Ethin and Lola [two of the youngest French kids] then we played this pirates game with the kids and Ethin got a little crazy and ripped the stickers off the pirates and started eating them and putting them in his ear!  After  he calmed down we played darts and I won.  Then we went to bed.

Casa Migdia

                                                             Playing darts at Casa Migdia

The little pool

Today we left our flat and went to a hotel in Sant Jordi Desvalls called Casa Migdia.  In Casa Migdia there is a small pool. There is also a room that has a dart board, pool table, Foosball table, and a checkers board. At 7 o'clock me and Mia went in the pool and a 2 year old named Phoenix came with a water pistol and started squirting us. When Phoenix went to bed I went and played Foosball with a French kid and two other girls from Ireland that spoke English. We won!  After the French kid left  me, Mia and the Irish girls played truth or dare. Then we went to bed.  Bye!

Las Ramblas

The Dragon Dude trying to poke my ear!

This phone is a fridge.

Today we went to Las Ramblas . In Las Ramblas there are people who perform for money$. We saw a guy in a monster suit and we put money$ in  the bucket and he started patting me and Mia on the head . He also stuck his finger in my ear. After we went on a tour bus.  On the tour bus me and Mia found headphones and listened to music. When we got home I noticed that the telephone in the flat was a refrigerator!

We are here!

Me and the lizard at Park Guell

Park Guell

We landed in Barcelona! We came home to our flat and took a looooong nap.  Then we went to see Gaudi's architect park, called Park Guell.  It was cool.  There was all these different colours and sculptures.  I liked the lizard sculpture best.  I also liked the edge of the platform.  At 11 o'clock at night we went out for dinner.  We had tuna, scallops and patatas bravas.  There was a little square that I played in.  Ciao!
