Cordoba

Strolling past the Mezquita, eating an ice cream cone

On the Roman bridge of Cordoba

Showdown!  Mia and I had a competition to see who can stay on the longest!
Today we woke up and went to the buffet breakfast with Steve and the graduate students. It was a great buffet with tons of food!  After we said goodbye to them and left for Cordoba.  When we got to Cordoba we had so much trouble finding parking and our hotel.  We had to park soooo far from our hotel and walk to it after my dad found it first.  The hotel was RIGHT across from a big humongous building called the Mezquita that was built first by the Muslims but then the Christians came and built a church right inside the mosque!  We are going to see the inside of it tomorrow.  Also we walked across a bridge and then walked around looking for a restaurant and found one but it wasn't for kids so we went to a square where I saw some kids playing soccer.  I played with them for a long time and then had dinner in the square. By the way we were right by a bell tower with two different bells which we thought was really cool because it rings every 15 minutes (and sometimes rings for a long time).  But we didn't realize that even early in the morning it would ring and wake us up!!!.
