Plaza Major and finally, a Picasso!

Headless captain in the Plaza Major

Plaza Major

It's on!!!

Guernica
Today we explored Madrid.  We started at the Plaza Major and saw all these performers like a dude without a head and someone levitating (but he was probably sitting on something attached to a pole) and then we walked around for about five hours.  Then we went back to the hotel and Mia and I made a movie on the iPad. After the movie we went to the big art museum, Museu de Arte Reina Sofia.  We saw paintings and sculptures by Dali, Miro and Picasso.  One of the Picassa paintings we saw was the Guernica, his most famous painting of war.  It was the real painting he made himself, and that he touched with his own brush!  It was humongous!  I was happy that I got to see it.  Then we went to an Italian restaurant and went back to the hotel.
