Granada

Our terrace!  That's the Alhambra in the distance

Exploring the narrow streets of the Albayzin, Granada

The Alhambra

Night view of Albayzin from our balcony
Today in the morning we got up and had breakfast in the courtyard of our hotel (with lots of birds) and then left Cordoba and drove to Grenada.  Again finding the hotel was difficult and we had to go to an underground parkade.  Then we took a taxi to a building on a narrow street where we waited to meet a man to take us to our hotel.  When he finally came he took us to our hotel. It was worth the trouble!  At our hotel we were on the top floor and there was a big open space that had a couch, a bed, and a big round old table in the middle.  But it would get in the way of Mia and me when were playing in the area so my Dad and I moved it to the corner. We had a giant terrace in our room at our hotel which was from the 16th  century!!!   It looked right at a big famous building called the Alhambra.  After we checked in  we explored the city and went to a square where I got ice cream and Mia got a milkshake.  That night we walked a long time exploring the Sacromonte area where we saw some houses and restaurants that looked like caves!? My mom and dad said they have flamenco parties in there too. Then we found a restaurant that had an outside area where we could look at the Alhambra from a different view and had all sorts of yummy food including salmon.  After it was late and we were so tired and walked back to our hotel down all sorts of narrow and windy streets.
