Raking and more raking

One of the jobs in Team 3 is cleaning out the caiman's enclosure!  My mom had to do it!

Picchio and the hurt iguana
Today was a long, hard day of work at the rescue center.  That’s because we were on Team 3 which means we were on garden duty the whole day! Team 3 was me, Mia, Mom and a new volunteer named Siv who’s a grandma from Switzerland and is really nice and cool. In the morning we raked the whole center and I help Jimmy, the gardener, with all his gardening jobs.  We were really tired today!  We kept sneaking over to see the animals in the sloth garden and the monkey cage.  When we were having lunch we taught Siv how to do some dancing!  While we were taking a break some surfers came with a giant iguana wrapped in a towel that their dog had attacked.  He had a big chew mark on his back leg, but he was okay! When we went home we played with Heiner and Alain and Irene came over to hang out on the front porch with us. They have been traveling for almost two years so they have lots of interesting stories and pictures! Then it was time for bed.
