Time to say goodbye

Parade in Nicoya

Drinking the maiz

Abuelas chopping garlic

The huge kitchen where everyone was preparing a feast for the festival. Too bad we're gonna miss it!
Today we woke up and got our stuff all packed up because we are leaving El Verde Miserioso. L When we were ready we said goodbye to everybody and our driver, Edwin, came and drove us away. I felt miserable until we got to the café where we were meeting our Uncle Jeff, Auntie Aimee and cousin, Lenox. When we got to the café Dad phoned them and they said that their rental car was too much money so they were going to have to squeeze into our van! On the drive to Nosara there was a big parade going through Nicoya, but I didn’t know what it was for. In Nicoya we stopped at a place where all the abuelas were making everything they needed for the big festival. We saw bowls, chickens, ovens, and lots and lots of garlic. When we were there we tried a kind of drink made out of corn and served in a hollowed out coconut shell. They are having a big festival tomorrow and all the food is free! After when it was dark we all were hungry so Edwin ordered us some pizza to pick up on our way to our new house. When we finally got to our place we ate the pizza. Our new house is called La Casa Que Canta, and there is a pool and three hammocks. Everybody played in the pool until we went to sleep.
Cool fact: in the corn drink we didn't know that it had alcohol in it and Mia and I and Lenox, our 2-year old cousin, had some!
