Who's inside this little carrier? |

Mary Beth gets a gigantic tick |
Today we woke up and got ready to do some more volunteer work. The Coco Animal Rescue
and Education group has a program where a vet from San Jose volunteers to spay and neuter dogs and cats for free. All sorts of people came with their dogs and cats and had to wait outside under a big tree. Most of the people had their pets on a little piece of string instead of a leash and there were even a few kids who brought their pets down without their parents. At the C.A.R.E.
center first the dogs/cats are given a needle and they go to sleep and then the professionals spay or neuter them. When they're done they put the animals down on the carpet and Mom, Mia, Sandra, Mary Beth and I would sit with them as they woke up, clean their ears, clip their nails and take ticks of of
them. I liked it when the dogs were covered with little and huge ticks because
you could pick them all off. One of the
dogs was shaking after it got neutered and was coming out of anesthetic and after a while he threw up a little unchewed octopus! Gross! We think he might of swallowed it when he was at the
beach. After about three hours of pretty hard work we went back to our place and swam. For dinner we had Pad Thai down at the pool with two of Sandra's new
guests.
Cool fact: Three of Sandra's cats got neutered: Hazel, Pumpkin Patch and Tobi.
